About Home staging

What Is Home Staging®?

Home Staging® is the process of preparing your home for sale without spending money on costly renovations. The way you live in your house and the way you sell your house are two different things. As an Accredited Staging Professional™, I use a proven professional set of guidelines to sell your house in the shortest period of time at the best possible price.

When you put your house on the market, it is competing with other houses presently for sale. To sell your home, it must look better than the other homes.

The average homebuyer will be in your house for three minutes. You want to make the most of that time by allowing the homebuyer to see the house and not focus on your furniture and possessions. An Accredited Staging Professional™ will Stage® your home so that the potential homebuyer's attention will be drawn to the positive features and benefits of your home.

The before and after photos below are of two rooms of a home I staged®. Contact me with any questions you may have or for your private consultation.

Before Home Staging®:

A dining room with blue walls, country-style curtains over the window and linoleum flooring was gradually becoming an office and storage room.

After Home Staging®:

The room was painted and the curtains were removed to reveal a large picture window with a beautiful view of the yard. This also let in a lot of light. A tablecloth was added, and a straw pitcher from another room was used for a centerpiece. Lineolum floor was replaced with ceramic tile.

Before Home Staging®:

The bed was pushed into the corner of the room and had a child's collection of stuffed animals atop a comforter.

After Home Staging®:

A coat of paint and some new bedding and curtains transformed this bedroom for under $200. A simple tray table covered with the matching bedskirt from the comforter set completes the look.
